PLOT
With technology that is, at best, mid-1930s (tanks exist, but semi-automatic rifles have only recently been developed, the primary mode of transportation is still the train or the car, airplanes are rarely used, wireless communication is nonexistent, etc.), the story is set in a region that strongly resembles Western Europe. The Royal Empire, which shares cultural traits with the German Empire but retains some customs from the Middle Ages, and the Republic of Frost have announced a ceasefire to put an end to the war permanently in a dystopian future in which a catastrophic war similar to the Great War, which in this universe lasts for 11 years, just ended. In order to survive the post-war period, former soldiers turn to stealing, banditry, and other sorts of crime, coalescing into gangs. The Empire is also ravaged by malnutrition and sickness. The Imperial Army State Section III, popularly known as the Pumpkin Scissors unit, is created three years later to assist the people of the Empire in the war relief effort.
