PLOT
A youngster named Hiro Hiyorimi recently relocated to Sasanaki Village to visit his sister, who is now working for an unidentified young woman she likes to call "Hime." Hiro accidentally runs into Hime as she and her short but powerful gynoid bodyguard Flandre arrive, losing his life while saving Hime from a speeding car (falling construction beams in the anime). However, Hiro unexpectedly discovers himself alive. At first perplexed, he runs upon Hime and unwittingly defends her as she struggles with a werewolf. Hime reveals she is a member of the royal family of the Monster Realm, which coexists with the Earth-Realm, and that her lineage has the ability to temporarily resurrect the dead as half-immortals sworn to their service and protection. Hime finds herself embroiled in a struggle for the throne of the Monster Kingdom despite her disinterest. The narrative then shows Hiro assisting Hime in fending off the supernatural assassins of her siblings as they are joined by Hime's younger sister Sherwood and her robot guardian Francisca, as well as a half-werewolf named Riza and a vampire named Reiri.
