PLOT
Former member of the high school swim team is Momo Adachi. She has bleached hair and tans readily; regrettably, her uninformed peers caricature her and subject her to allegations about being a "easy girl" who has engaged in several sexual engagements. Sae, her lone friend, is the one who truly spreads the malicious rumors because she is envious of Momo. Toji, a reserved baseball player, is the love of Momo's life, but the crafty Sae also has her eye on the young man. The appearance of Kairi Okayasu, a wisecracking playboy who is anxious to claim Momo as his own, complicates things even further in her life. He tells Momo that the summer before he started high school, she had prevented him from drowning.
