PLOT
Tetsuya battles alongside Kouji in the 2002 OVA Mazinkaiser against Doctor Hell's army. Physically, the OVA version of Great Mazinger is the same as the original, save for the absence of blue coloring on the arms and legs. Great sustains significant damage in the series' opening combat. Even though Tetsuya does his best to defend the facility against Mazinger Z, the situation worsened when the captured Mazinger Z attacked the Photon Power Labs. Finally, the ravaging Mazinkaiser seriously hurts him, leaving Great Mazinger in shambles. He then departs with Jun to receive medical attention for his wounds.
