PLOT
The 34th Precinct of New York City is home to Japanese-American police officer Daizaburo "Eddie" Ban. On his first day, he is partnered with John Estes, a police officer who uses his own brand of ruthless justice to put an end to crime and is known by the nicknames "Sleepy" by his friends and "Mad Bull" by his foes. Even if they constitute a slight threat, simple thieves can be shotgun-blasted to death by Mad Bull without hesitation. While battling crime, he frequently steals from prostitutes and causes huge amounts of property damage. Mad Bull frequently gets into trouble with his partner Daizaburo and the 34th precinct because of his unpolicemanlike actions. Nevertheless, despite how careless and illegal these actions are, a justification is always found (for example, Sleepy uses the money he steals from prostitutes to fund a sexual health clinic and domestic violence shelter). Later, Daizaburo and Sleepy are joined by police lieutenant Perrine Valley as they take on more challenging cases involving the mafia and drug trafficking.
