PLOT
Kyhei, a university student, relocated from his hometown to Tokyo in an effort to escape some upsetting experiences. He goes out on a group date one evening with his buddies, including Hibino, his former neighbor and classmate. He and Hibino find a dead, bloodied body in an elevator later that night. Unexpectedly, his younger sister Utao shows up at his apartment carrying her own kakashi, which was originally his kakashi. She informs him that his own kakashi and his former friend Aki are to blame for the crime. Hibino discovers after their encounter with Aki that her father is from the same "Karakami" village as Kyhei, Aki, and Utao, which is also where the kakashi first appeared. Later, she goes with them to "Karakami" village and learns a lot about the community, the kakashi, Kyhei, Aki, and Utao.
