PLOT
The supernatural powers and creatures that exist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's universe are a reflection of the actual world. Some people in this situation have the ability to channel their inner spiritual power into a Stand; another notable energy source is Hamon, a martial arts maneuver that enables its practitioner to channel physical energy into sunlight through regulated breathing. Parts of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's story each have their own distinct plots and casts of characters. The mainstream descendants of the Joestar family, whose name can be shortened to the titular "JoJo," are the series' protagonists, each of whom has a star-shaped birthmark above their left shoulder blade. The generational conflict in the first six parts is caused by Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando's antagonism, while the final two parts are set in a parallel reality where the Joestar family tree has undergone significant changes.
