PLOT
Three people, Shino Inuzuka, Sosuke Inukawa, and Hamaji, were the only survivors of a plague that killed all the residents of Tsuka Village five years before the story begins. They seek refuge in a church close to another community, whose residents have doubts about the survivors. The Imperial Church has now arrived in quest of "Murasame," the demonic blade that Shino carries inside his body and contains "life." Shino and Sosuke fly to the Imperial City to save Hamaji after she is abducted by the Church after they learn Shino won't follow them covertly. Shino is instructed to locate the other six bead holders by Satomi Rio, a dean of the church, who they confront there.
