PLOT
The story takes place in 1969, when Japan is undergoing rapid economic and social development following the end of World War II in 1945. Unbeknownst to mankind, extraterrestrial/interdimensional creatures have manifested with intentions to rule the globe by dispatching a large number of agents to wreak havoc in cities and transform people into robotic minions. They are known as "Invaders." The Alien Exterminating Global Intercept System (more generally known as A.E.G.I.S. ), an elite but extremely secret group of peacekeepers, was established with special financing from the government in an effort to face the Invaders and defend the Earth. They rely on "Gate Keepers," people with the supernatural capacity to open dimensional "gates" of energy that grant them superhuman abilities. The only weapons that have any impact on Invaders are these superpowers.
