PLOT
Third-generation pyrokinetic Shinra Kusakabe was ostracized as a child for the fire that killed his mother and younger brother Sho twelve years earlier and earned the title "Devil's Footprints" due to his ability to set fire to his feet at will. He joins Company 8 of the Special Fire Force, a group of pyrokinetics committed to putting an end to the Infernal attacks once and for all while looking into Companies 1 through 7 for any possible internal corruption. Shinra starts to understand that the fire that killed his mother was merely a pretext for Sho to be captured by the White Clad, a doomsday cult that had agents operating throughout various sectors of the Tokyo Empire and was responsible for the Infernal attacks. While learning that the White Clad's objective is to assemble eight people like Shinra and Sho to reenact the Great Cataclysm for an ancient creature who used humanity as a tool, Company 8 and their friends oppose them.
