PLOT
A group of Nazi officers perform a ritual on May 1, 1945, in Berlin, as the Red Army raises the Soviet flag above the Reichskanzlei. For them, the massacre in the city serves just as the ideal ritual sacrifice to summon the Order of the 13 Lances, a group of superhumans whose return would bring about the end of the world. Nobody has any idea how successful these officers were or whether they survived or perished years later. Few people are aware of their presence, and those who were aware eventually died as the decades went by. Ren Fujii spends his days working at the hospital in Suwahara City right now, in the month of December. Two months had passed since the incident, which involved a fight with his friend Shirou Yusa in which they nearly killed one another and took him to the hospital. He makes an effort to appreciate what he still has, but every night he gets the same dream, which features a guillotine, criminals who hunt people, and knights in black who pursue the criminals. Even as he desperately wants to return to his regular, everyday life, he keeps hearing Shirou say, "Everyone who stays in this city eventually loses their heads."
