PLOT
Danganronpa: The Animation is an anime series based on the video game "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc." The story is set at Hope's Peak Academy, a prestigious high school that only accepts "ultimate" students, each one being the best at what they do. The plot follows Makoto Naegi, who is accepted into the academy through a lottery, earning him the title of "Ultimate Lucky Student." However, once he and the other students arrive at the school, they find themselves trapped and forced into a deadly game by a remote-controlled bear named Monokuma. The only way to graduate and escape from the school is to murder another student and get away with it. Each time a murder takes place, the remaining students must hold a trial to determine who the culprit is. If they can successfully figure out who committed the murder, the guilty party is executed, and the game continues. However, if they guess wrong, the killer will be set free, and everyone else will be executed.
