PLOT
Yatora Yaguchi, a second-year high school student, is bored with his routine life. He succeeds well in his schoolwork and has fun with his friends, but he doesn't really like any of those things. Because he is restricted by tradition, he secretly envies people who act in a different way. Until he learns the joy of drawing, that is. Yatora is captivated by the colors utilized in a painting that he sees that was created by a club member. Later, as part of an art project, he tries to express himself through painting rather than words. After that, Yatora becomes so passionate about art that he decides that is what he wants to do as a professional. But he faces a number of challenges along the road, including his parents' worries about his unorthodox choices, his more experienced classmates, and the study of a subject that goes far further than he had anticipated.
