PLOT
A twelve-year-old earl named Ciel Phantomhive resides in Victorian-era London. He was appointed to this position as a result of the attack and burning of the Phantomhive Manor on his tenth birthday, on December 14, 1885, by mysterious attackers. In the midst of the chaos, Ciel finds Sebastian the family dog and his parents, Vincent and Rachel Phantomhive are dead. He is taken by the attackers that same night and later sold into slavery, where he finds himself in the custody of a vicious, demon-worshiping cult. Then, Ciel is subjected to unending physical, psychological, and sexual torment at the hands of his captors. Ciel also had the "mark of the beast," a heat-imprinted mark, applied to him.
