PLOT
The year is 2006, and the world is shaken by a string of seemingly random terrorist acts. Known as "Algernon," regular individuals experience mental breaks and start killing those around them, frequently in deeply unsettling ways. After conventional law enforcement is unable to find any connection between these instances, Akamatsu Industries, a private contractor, is hired to investigate the possibility that Algernon is a sickness, an unidentified terrorist organization, or another even more bizarre possibility.
