PLOT
Akito Takagi, a student who is aware of his innate potential as an artist, persuades Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high school student, to pursue his dream of becoming a mangaka. Moritaka Mashiro is willing to lead a pretty ordinary life as does everyone else. Moritaka is hesitant to pursue his passion, though, because his uncle, a former mangaka with his own serializations, passed away from overwork while attempting to reclaim his former popularity. Azuki Miho, a fellow student and Akito's school crush, is an aspiring voice actress that Takagi enlists to voice in their future manga's anime adaptation once it is finished. Mashiro does, however, also make a marriage proposal to Azuki, who shockingly accepts—but only if and when they both succeed in their goals. Mashiro starts on a difficult and long journey to achieve his aim of becoming a well-known mangaka.
