PLOT
According to the storyline, Astro is a robotic boy with superhuman abilities and an AI system that is unmatched to any other robot. For the purpose of replacing his late son Tovio, his creator Dr. Tenma built him. After the development of Astro, Dr. Tenma ruins his laboratory and shuts it down. Dr. O'Shay, the head of the Ministry of Science, brings Astro to life shortly after and tries to give him a regular life as a sixth-grade student who helps the police in stopping rogue robots and bigoted humans from doing harm. Astro must learn the truth about his creator Dr. Tenma and must deal with terrible racism since he is a robot.
