Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend's family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. Ushio's younger sister Mio says she saw her sister's shadow few days before her death. Then both of them goes to a temple at the northern part of the island to find more about it but then something strange happens..
