PLOT
Hajime Nagumo, a student in high school, is harassed by some of his peers because of his friendship with Kaori, the popular student. Hajime only acquires the fundamental alchemical magic to convert solid materials, a common skill typically seen among artisans and smiths, while the rest of his classmates all acquire extraordinary magical abilities when he and the rest of his class are transported to a fantasy realm. He is abandoned at the bottom of the dungeon after one of his classmates betrays him during a dungeon raid. He makes weapons after surviving the fall in order to get out of the dungeon and grow stronger. He encounters the imprisoned vampire Yue along the way, and later Shea, the bunny-eared dragon Tio, and others join him.
