PLOT
Megumin is a passionate young wizard from the secluded Crimson Demon Village, where mages with theatrical tendencies and red eyes live. She has spent her entire life perfecting explosion magic, a potent but useless spell that renders her mana-drained and immobile for the remainder of the day. Nevertheless, she is unwilling to pick up any new abilities. Megumin enrols in the Red Prison, a prominent school for practitioners of Crimson Demon magic, along with her childhood friend and self-described adversary, Yunyun. She discovers more there about her clan's past, secrets, and dangers that they must deal with. Megumin strives to become the greatest explosive mage of all time as she hones her power at the Red Prison with the aid of her devoted familiar Chomusuke and her cute little sister Komekko.
