PLOT
The jolly-go-round Sanae Takigawa receives a message from Michi Sonoda informing her that she would permanently give up judo following her final middle school competition. Sanae is in shock at this because Michi's enthusiasm for the sport is what initially drew her to judo. A well-spent adolescence, according to Michi, should be associated with things like finding a boyfriend rather than sticky tatami mats. However, Michi's strategy to finish off her early judo career with a flourish is derailed when she suffers a humiliating loss at the hands of the gifted Towa Hiura. Later, when she learns that Towa has enrolled at the same high school as herself and Sanae, her plan is further thwarted. Michi may quickly come to the realization that she still harbors unresolved affections for the judo sport with the unexpected appearance of her old adversary.
