INFORMATION

PLOT

Conan spent his entire life living in Cimmeria with his parents. One night, while on a journey with his grandfather, "fiery tears" or meteors fell from the sky. Conan gathered them and returned to his household with them. The ore from the meteors was used by Conan's father, the town blacksmith, to manufacture Star Metal, which he then used to forge a variety of equipment and weapons that would never rust, shatter, or dull. He sold them, but he retained his best creation—a superb sword—for Conan. It was placed in a crypt and protected from the elements by a large stone slab. Conan's father advised his son to wait to claim the sword until he was "man enough" (strong enough to push off the stone slab). The evil Serpent Man wizard Wrath-Amon learned about Star Metal and its ability to create gateways across universes in addition to its strength. He therefore sought Star Metal to free his deity Set from "the Abyss," where he had long ago been exiled after attempting to enslave humanity. This was done with the help of practically every living wizard on Earth at the time. Wrath-Amon sought out Conan's relatives as part of his investigation. Conan's father informed Wrath-Amon that all of the Star Metal had been sold, but the wizard didn't buy it. The wizard was correct since, in addition to the sword, a subsequent episode showed that Conan's father had concealed chunks of Star Metal with other villages. The living stone spell was cast by Wrath-Amon upon Conan's family.
