PLOT

The show centers on the arrogant seven-year-old Allen Gregory De Longpre (Jonah Hill), who is reared by his two fathers, Richard and Jeremy. Julie is Allen's adopted sister. Allen's family's financial situation is being impacted by the recession, so he must start attending a public elementary school. Due to their financial problems, Richard and Jeremy both put pressure on Jeremy to find work; nevertheless, Richard withholds from Jeremy the reasons why they require additional cash. To the disapproval of the senior school principal Judith Gottlieb, Allen has a crush on her. Despite her objections, the Richard-friendly school superintendent puts pressure on her to accept his behavior.
