PLOT
The three main characters of the show are Lucky, the TV-obsessed leader and unorthodox hero, Rolly, the obese, happy, laid-back, and perpetually ravenous brother, and Cadpig, the strange but endearing sister who is the runt of the litter. Spot, a Bark Brigade member and a chicken with dog dreams, frequently hangs out with the three siblings.Early identified tyrant Penny and mischievous Patch as two additional puppy cast members, but when the show's featured puppies were reduced to three, Penny was deleted and Patch was made an extra. The series takes place on the Dearly Farm in the United States in the 1990s, unlike the original movie but similar to the 1996 live-action version. Other pups that have made appearances on the show include the fearless, three-legged Tripod, the amiable, dimwitted Dipstick, the perpetually peeing Wizzer, the stylish diva Two-Tone, and the Sheepdog/Pit Bull mix Mooch. Patch occasionally makes appearances as well, albeit with a different demeanor than was initially marketed. The possibility exists for other puppies from the movies to appear, particularly Freckles, Pepper, Penny, Jewel, and Fidget, as the program appears to be a merging of both the animated feature and the live-action picture.
