PLOT

The majority of the series takes place in Hollywoo (the name is altered after the D is stolen off the sign), which is located in an alternate universe where humans and anthropomorphic animals coexist. Horsin' Around, a 1990s sitcom about a young bachelor horse attempting to care for three abandoned human children, starred BoJack Horseman as its faded star. BoJack is planning a historic comeback to celebrity prominence with a tell-all autobiography that will be written by ghostwriter Diane Nguyen. BoJack is currently living in relative obscurity in his Hollywood Hills estate. He manages his alcohol and drug addiction as well as the associated carelessness at the same time. BoJack also has to deal with his agent's demands, those of his ex-girlfriend Princess Carolyn, his roommate Todd Chavez's foolish pranks, and those of his erstwhile competitor Mr. Peanutbutter.
