INFORMATION

PLOT

The series takes place after the events of the film Big Hero 6 (2014) and follows the exploits of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro Hamada and his kind, cutting-edge robot Baymax, which was created by his late brother Tadashi. Along with his friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go, and Fred, they form the superhero team Big Hero 6 and undertake high-tech adventures as they protect their city from a variety of scientifically enhanced villains. Hiro also faces academic challenges and social difficulties as he becomes the new prodigy at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology (SFIT). The show differs slightly from the ending of the original film. Aunt Cass is aware of Baymax, and Hiro attends SFIT as if nothing has happened (and even though a building is erected in honor of Tadashi, Hiro does not receive a grant from the institute). Hiro does not come up with the name "Big Hero 6" as it is implied in the movie's end. Instead, Fred suggests the name after creating a long list of team names and testing them himself.
