PLOT
The TV series takes place in a hidden kingdom surrounded by thorny brambles. The kingdom is ruled by King and Queen Thistle, who reside in the Little Castle with their three daughters - Princess Holly, and the younger twins, Daisy and Poppy. The Great Elf Tree serves as a residence, school, library, and factory for toys and wands for the Elves, including 8-year-old Ben. Elves value punctuality and often say their catchphrase, "I'm an Elf," while playing their instruments. Fairies, who live in the Fairy Village, use magic and are often named after flowers. They tell time based on different bird sounds. The Elves are in charge of various establishments such as Elf Rescue, the Elf Farm, and the Elf Windmill. King Thistle enjoys playing golf, including the invention of Crazy Golf at the Royal Course by Ben and Holly. Gaston, the ladybird, is Ben and Holly's friend. Other characters include Nanny Plum, the Wise Old Elf, and Mr. and Mrs. Elf who are Ben's parents.
