PLOT

The Beat Bugs television series is aimed at kids between the ages of 5 and 7, and it is set in a suburban backyard that five young insect pals frequently explore. The backyard is referred to as "Village Green" by the insects. The plot of the episodes is weaved together with lyrics from songs by the Beatles, including "Come Together" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." The song "Come and Get It" from the band Badfinger's debut album, albeit it was written by Paul McCartney and released by the Beatles' Apple Records imprint, is used in one episode. Pink and Sia, two well-known music artists, perform these versions. The lessons the young bugs acquire about life are frequently influenced by the tunes. The show is "about teaching kids, but with a little humor and not in a patronizing way," according to Wakely.
