PLOT

Assy McGee, a violent and mentally disturbed police detective who also happens to be devoid of an upper torso, head, or arms, is the focus of the show. Although Exeter, New Hampshire, is more like a large city like New York City or Chicago, Assy patrols the streets with the assistance of his partner Sanchez (often against the wishes of his superior officers). Cases typically feature bizarre or exaggerated crimes, which are typically depicted in the opening scene. Assy will then be tasked with looking into the crimes, frequently doing so by getting involved in subjects that seem to have little to do with the actual crime, until, at the conclusion of the episode, it becomes clear that the suspect was actually the random innocent bystander that Assy had violently accosted, or another wanted felon. Until his actions are supported, Assy is almost always opposed by his chief. This prompts the Chief to question how Assy could possibly have known that this individual was the guilty party. In response, Assy typically replies that he did, but without providing any proof.
