In the bustling tapestry of college life, Keitarou Gentouga stands out as an enigma. His inherent ability to magnetize spirits, a gift he loathes, makes his life anything but ordinary. A fateful encounter two years ago branded his right hand with a spectral wound and ensnared a friend in the aftermath. This traumatic incident pushed Keitarou into the shadowy corners of isolation, eroding his social skills. Yet hope, in the form of his childhood comrade, Eiko Houzuki, begins to pierce through his self-imposed darkness. Under Eiko's patient guidance, Keitarou begins to cautiously tread back into society. Seeking a fresh start and an anchor to the normal world, Keitarou finds himself in the role of a private tutor. But, in a twist of fate, his first student isn't just anyone—it's Eiko's cousin, the young prodigy Yayoi Houzuki. Yayoi's genius is matched only by her unique spiritual resonance, akin to Keitarou's. But where Keitarou recoils from the ethereal, Yayoi is drawn to it. She harbors a burning desire to meet the spirit that took her mother, and with Eiko acting as a catalyst, Keitarou finds himself whisked away on spectral adventures he'd rather avoid.
