PLOT

Since the publication of Tales of Little Women, Josephine March has matured into a woman and is now wed to German professor Friedrich Bhaer. Jo Bhaer has built a new school for her two sons, Robby and Teddy, nephews Franz, Emil, and Demi-John, niece Daisy, and a group of orphaned kids, including Annie "Nan" Harding and a tough, street-smart adolescent named Dan, in the Plumfield farm-house that Aunt March had bequeathed her. With the help of song, music, and play, Jo leads her students through the ups and downs of life, work and play, rewards and punishments, and all manner of mischief and adventure. Jo has the experience of a model upbringing and a devoted and caring spouse.
