PLOT
By harnessing the Hemophage Virus to manipulate genes, 044 becomes the strongest female soldier who excels in combat in the dystopian year 2140. But as a price for her talents, her days are numbered. The government has given her the task of eliminating the vicious group known as the Phage and its leader King. She runs upon Luka, a Phage soldier, in the course of the combat but is unable to kill him. Daxus II, the head of the government organization, thinks she is a traitor despite her questions about why. As she flees with the hurt Luka, she comes under attack from both Phage and the government.
