Night World
Yoru no Kuni

A short anime series following a group of troubled individuals meeting with a mysterious being named Yoru in a dream-like land called the Night World. The 22 O'Clock Guide, 22-ji no Annaibito Chiyo, a young girl, loses consciousness after refusing to accept the passing of her beloved dog, Choco, and awakens in the Night World. She is welcomed by Yoru, a being that leads her through the world of the gloomiest, most romantic hour of the day. The starless universe surrounding Chiyo starts to come to life as she learns to deal with the loss she is experiencing. The 26 O'Clock Search, also known as 26-ji no Sagashimono Best friends Hina and Tsumugi have been exchanging diaries as a symbol of their friendship since they were little. Tsumugi, who is jealous of Hina, tosses the diary away because she thinks Hina should open it up to include a new friend of hers. She drifts off to sleep and awakens in the Night World in front of a labyrinth. Tsumugi initially rejects Yoru's offer of assistance. As she looks for a solution to her problem, she instead encounters her loneliness. 4-ji no Tegami (The Four O'Clock Letter) As another morning draws near, Akatsuki is filled with dread. She starts tossing her artwork in frustration since she can't advance her profession, and while doing so, she stumbles across an old notebook. There is a letter from a previous acquaintance who gave her hope long ago in the book. Akatsuki begins to remember the friend's name as she goes through her possessions, and she may even come across her waning love of painting.
