PLOT
A Time Knot Mayumi and Kiwako, two high school students, are enjoying their summer vacation at the beach, but when Mayumi finds a camera while scuba diving, she can't help but feel an intense interest. When she develops the camera's film, she is surprised to see herself in the picture with an unidentified man. The three learn something even more concerning when they enlist the aid of Kiwako's older brother: the camera model hasn't yet been made public. Mayumi, in turn, gets fixated on figuring out where the strange camera and its enigmatic photo came from. File 538 The sky has been devoid of airplanes! Stranger still, there are rumors that the vanished planes have been mutating into enormous carp. In the meantime, a freelance detective looks into a dilapidated flat on the outskirts of town and discovers a middle-aged man and a young girl who likes fish. The investigator visits the two people's room but is unable to recognize them. All that is left of the room is a document that says, "This story has been prepared for you, my successor... who should be visiting this room in due time."
