PLOT
Reimu Hakurei, a shrine maiden, works tirelessly to ensure that supernatural happenings involving the mythical youkai remain as rare as possible in the secret magical realm of Gensokyo. She organizes a summer banquet every year as part of the rituals at her shrine, inviting everyone from humans to the most powerful youkai. The donation box for the shrine, however, mysteriously vanishes the morning before the banquet. Furthermore, it appears that there are no signs at all of any theft. Reimu, her companion Marisa Kirisame, and news reporter Aya Shameimaru discover that further people have lost property as they look into the matter. The group quickly realizes that this phenomena is more than just straightforward theft—an incidence comparable to Remilia Scarlet's mist or Yuyuko Saigyouji's youkai cherry blossom—as they draw closer to solving the issue.
