PLOT
A god of light and a god of darkness existed long ago. The deity of darkness would mislead the people and steal their delight, while those who served the god of light enjoyed happiness and good fortune. So, according to legend, the god of light chose to make him into a monster as a kind of retribution. This infuriated the god of darkness, who then used his punishment as a curse to make others suffer. Due to his deeds, he was cast out to the Outside, where he and his monster progeny are to live out the rest of time. Those from the Inside are forbidden from ever coming into contact with anyone from the Outside for fear of being cursed with an evil appearance. An Outsider she comes to know as Sensei discovers a young girl named Shiva who is an Insider. Sensei takes the best care of Shiva he can, despite the fact that they cannot touch, and the two of them lead a generally happy life. But soon Shiva discovers that she is not only in danger from the Outside but also from her own kind.
