PLOT
In the not-too-distant future, humanity has begun its ascent into the furthest reaches of the galaxy. When they do, they come upon a sizable race of "Space Monsters," insect-like creatures. As they get closer and closer to finding Earth, these aliens seem committed to wiping off humanity. In response, humanity creates enormous combat robots that are flown by specially chosen young people from all across the world. Noriko Takaya, the daughter of a well-known deceased space captain, enrolls in a training program soon after the aliens are discovered despite her dubious piloting abilities. There, she meets Kazumi Amano, a stunning and talented woman who is her complete antithesis, and finds herself forced to work with her as they try to deal with both their own emotions and the trauma of war.
