PLOT

Uncle, a lecherous but attractive toilet designer, ignores his responsibilities as a single parent on days like these to hit on ladies and boast about his "superpower" of being able to detect a woman's hip size at a glance. However, the Space Peace Republic Alliance Hero Committee bestows genuine superpowers onto him as he gets pulled down into a toilet, making him the hero of Earth. The only issue is that he has transformed into an unsightly, unrecognizably overweight person who is unable to show his true identity. Min-chan, the adored daughter of Uncle, rejects the idea that such an obnoxious fat could be her father and kicks him out of his own house. He teams up with his wicked neighbor Yamada-san, a little man who enjoys streaking, and sets out to persuade Min-chan that he is her father. Distraught and destitute, he joins forces with Yamada-san. To Be Hero, which is rife with sexual innuendo and slapstick humor, follows Uncle as he makes strange friends and faces off against even stranger adversaries while defending the future of earth against aliens and—more importantly—his future with his daughter.
