PLOT
Humanity had developed technology that allowed for the reanimation of corpses by the 19th century. The corpses are programmed by humans to act as workers in various occupations because they are unable to have distinct thoughts or feelings. There is, however, a caveat to this newly discovered technology. Science might be able to make the corpses move again, but it cannot bring back the soul, which every corpse loses when it dies. However, it is reported that Doctor Victor Frankenstein, who vanished not long after completing his groundbreaking research on corpse reanimation, brought back to life the sole corpse with a soul. John Watson, a medical student in London, wants to keep his commitment to his late lover Friday by acquiring this scientific knowledge. Watson is on the prowl for Frankenstein's notes, which he believes hold the key to the soul's secrets, after being scouted by a federal organization. Watson discovers during his investigation the grim truths of the evolving corpse technology and the cost he must pay to further his investigation.
