PLOT
In the alternate reality where Train Wars! is set, Japan's government still maintains authority of the country's rail infrastructure. The government's leadership has provided stability, which has allowed the railway system to thrive. Naoto Takayama wants to work for Japan National Railways since he will be able to live a comfortable life there. To do this, he enrolls in the company's training program, where participants must prove both their familiarity with trains and their capacity for adaptability. He will come into contact with other pupils during this time, including the athletically gifted Aoi Sakura, the insatiably hungry Sho Iwaizumi, and the walking encyclopedia Haruka Komi. Together, they will battle bomb threats, purse snatchers, and the approaching threat of the radical "RJ" group, who wants to privatize the railway system, in order to survive their training term.
