PLOT
The major plot of Qiang Niang is on the protagonist Carrie's search for herself and the account of her ultimate "Awakening," having lost her war memories. Half of the world's population will have perished in a global conflict between the years 2025 and 2030, and humanity will have lost all control over how the conflict will be fought. Over time, combat has evolved into a human-free battle that is more akin to a game in which the goal is to achieve ultimate victory. War has already evolved to involve satellite lasers, bomb drones, intelligent AI, and an autonomous gun turret-and-tank battlefield. The Gun Girls, a group of young women who fight using obsolete weapons, are another threat.
