PLOT
By manipulating their enemies' memories via their "Peak," where their most cherished memories are visible, and their "Valley," where their most unfavorable memories are suppressed, martial artists in ancient China had developed a psychoactive technique that allowed its users to enter the subconsciousness of the human mind. By transforming them into "Pets," mindless hitmen against various targets who might represent a threat, an organization known as "The Company" is tasked with rescuing and securing the offspring of those martial artists later in the 21st century. As they gradually learn more about the business's secrets and a scheme involving Satoru's coworker and his previous foster father, Hayashi, Tsukasa and Hiroki—a master/pet pair known as Tsubushiya—follow company directions.
