PLOT
"Oreimo", short for "Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai" or "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute", is a comedic slice-of-life anime series based on the light novel of the same name by Tsukasa Fushimi. It aired from 2010 to 2013. The story revolves around high school student Kyousuke Kousaka, who lives a relatively dull life until he discovers his younger sister Kirino's secret: she's a fan of adult-oriented anime and video games, often referred to as "eroge". Kirino is also particularly fond of "little sister" themed games, which Kyousuke finds hard to comprehend. Despite her excellence in school and athletics, Kirino has been hiding her otaku hobbies out of fear of societal judgement. Once Kyousuke learns her secret, he becomes Kirino's confidant and adviser for all things otaku-related, causing their relationship, which was previously distant, to change significantly.
