PLOT
Nanako Misonoo, 16, enrolls in the elite all-girls Seiran Academy with the hope that she will have a successful future. Instead, the unfortunate girl discovers herself entangled in a web of unhappiness, jealousy, and lies. She is also selected to join the Sorority, a prestigious organization whose members are the envy of the entire school, as its newest member. Nanako, who lacks the other members' elegance, fortune, or talent, swiftly arouses the wrath of her envious peers, especially the tenacious Aya Misaki. Nanako writes letters to her previous teacher Takehiko Henmi, whom she adoringly refers to as "onii-sama," to reflect on her younger years as she struggles to deal with her increasingly challenging school life (big brother). She also finds solace in the company of her four closest friends, including Tomoko Arikura, a childhood buddy, the talkative but unpredictable Mariko Shinobu, the disturbed musician Rei Asaka, and the fit tomboy Kaoru Orihara. Oniisama e... is a passionate drama about the difficulties of bullying that follows a young girl as she adjusts to her new school and deals with vicious rumors, callous classmates, and numerous social difficulties.
