PLOT
Tadayasu Sawaki, a first-year college student, is said to have a broad field of vision. He possesses a strange talent that enables him to see microbes with the unaided eye. Sawaki can see a variety of germs, including yeast used to manufacture alcohol and the fungus that cause athlete's foot, and he perceives them as adorable chibi creatures. His aptitude attracts the attention of many professors at the agricultural university he attends, including fermentation expert Professor Itsuki. Sawaki enrolls in a Tokyo agricultural school without regard for his aptitude. But with the support of the oddball neighborhood around him, he gradually comes to value both his talent and these visible microorganisms. Sawaki almost seems normal despite his talent thanks to the eccentric faculty and students who attend the university.
