PLOT
Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya appear to be the ideal couple to outsiders. But in truth, they simply share the same secret hurt since they both have feelings for someone they are unable to have. Hanabi is thrilled to learn that Narumi Kanai would be her new homeroom teacher because she has adored her childhood friend and neighbor for as long as she can remember. Hanabi is disappointed when Akane Minagawa, the music teacher, first notices Narumi and their friendship quickly develops. Akane mentored Mugi in middle school, and they have been together ever since. Hanabi and he cross paths by accident in the corridor. As these two lonely individuals spend more time together, they make the decision to share physical contact with one another in attempt to replace the person they actually love and end their loneliness.
