PLOT
Koto maker Gen Kudou is convinced that his troubled grandson Chika will never comprehend the profundity of the age-old musical instrument. Chika makes an attempt to join the Tokise High School Koto Club in an effort to atone for his ignorance and comprehend the advice of his late grandfather. Despite the club's urgent need for new members, Takezou Kurata, the new president, is reluctant to accept Chika's candidacy due to his unfavorable image. Takezou still permits the troubled youth to participate, along with koto prodigy Satowa Houzuki and three of Chika's enthusiastic pals, after observing Chika's dedication and excitement. The joyful group of musicians is followed in Kono Oto Tomare! as they strive to perform at the national championship.
