PLOT
During the Hundred Years' War with England, Maria is a strong young witch living in medieval France with her two familiars. Maria feels frustrated with the situation and starts using her magic to try to prevent future conflict in the hopes of sustaining peace while the war rages on and the innocent are caught in its devastation. She quickly draws the attention of the gods, though, and the archangel Michael is dispatched to stop her from interfering in human affairs. When the divine entity approaches Maria, he prevents her from using her abilities and issues a proclamation warning that if she loses her virginity, her magic would be taken. Despite being branded a heretic, Maria passionately disregards Michael's advice and keeps up her interference in the conflict between the two countries. But Maria's efforts to promote peace may soon come to an end as the Church hatches plans to remove the witch's authority and permanently halt her interference.
