PLOT
Juri Yukawa's plans to leave her parents' house are completely destroyed after ostensibly failing 19 job interviews in one day. Her young nephew Makoto is the only person in the household who can help her working mother Nobuko, NEET brother Tsubasa, laid-off father Takafumi, and single-parent sister Sanae raise a respectable adult. When Makoto and Tsubasa are forcibly abducted by an unknown group and imprisoned for ransom, the situation for this struggling family worsens. Juri's grandfather tells her and Takafumi a secret that is extremely perilous when they have only 30 minutes to deliver five million yen to the crooks. The three enter "Stasis," a version of their reality where time pauses for everyone but the users, by giving blood to her grandfather's enigmatic stone. Their rescue efforts fail after they reach their destination since they are attacked by a startling group of individuals who are able to move about inside Stasis. The Herald, a gigantic behemoth whose intentions and motivations are as enigmatic as the very nature of this eternal universe, suddenly materializes amid the mayhem just when hope seems to be gone.
