PLOT
Aya Asagiri considers murdering herself frequently. At home, her older brother Kaname physically beats her to relieve the academic load that their father has put on him. She is severely ridiculed at school. A mysterious website called Magical Girl Site, which promises to grant her magical abilities, suddenly appears on her laptop as she is lying awake one night wishing she were dead. She initially writes it off as a scary practical joke, but the next day she discovers a magical gun in her shoe locker, she is unsure about what to believe. She decides to take it with her and soon encounters her tormentors once more. But this time, in a last-ditch effort to save herself, she pulls the trigger. As a result, her attackers are driven to a nearby railroad crossing, where they are run over. Aya urgently tries to make sense of the event because her conscience can't accept the idea that she used magic to murder two of her classmates. When she gets into problems once more, Tsuyuno Yatsumura, a classmate with the ability to utilize magic to pause time, steps in to rescue the day. The two have a lot of work ahead of them, including fighting alongside and against other magical girls as well as learning the truth about the website and the impending catastrophic catastrophe known as "The Tempest."
